Leader Kagero

Kagero & Gypsy from Leader Bike on Vimeo.

Leader Bikes x Pedal Consumption Kagero ad.

I need to be honest here: while the Kagero looks pretty nice indeed, I just can't not point out the fact that it resembles the Cinelli MASH just a little bit too much. Just like those LOW lo pros do too. You can always argue that since it's not exactly the same but still. Whatever, I'm sure it's nice ride. Congratulations to Pedal Consumption!

The only resemblance between the two is that they are both Lo-Pro framesets. Other slight resemblance is the HT logos and the 31.6mm seat post. The HT logo on the Kagero is the Thames family crest with a twist.

If you look at the Kagero in person, all the tubing except the seat tube is different. When you do the math... the percentage of difference between the two is high.

Sure, that's all true. No doubt.

But let's put it this way: if Cinelli never came out with the MASH frame, would there be Kagero now?

No. Not hatin', just sayin'.

Let me answer that question... yes! There would be a Kagero even if there wasn't a Cinelli/MASH frame. Why? I have already owned several Lo-Pro frames before the Cinelli/MASH was even in development. If you know me at all... I love Lo-Pro frames.
